We offer a variety of art classes (beginner/intermediate/advanced) tailored to different age groups, skill levels, and interests! Find the perfect fit for your child below.

We currently have the following weekly classes available for school Term 4 of 2024.

Beginner Class (suitable for children aged 5-7yrs)
- Karori Community Centre (Room 3), 3:30-4:30 pm, Wednesdays
- Johnsonville Community Centre (Room 5), 10:00 - 11:00 am, Sundays
- Petone Library, Lower Hutt (The Boardroom), 2:30 - 3:30 pm, Sundays
Intermediate Class(suitable for children aged 7+yrs)
- Johnsonville Community Centre (Room 5), 11:15am - 12:15 pm, Sundays
- Petone Library, Lower Hutt (The Boardroom), 3:45 - 4:45 pm, Sundays
Advanced Class (for students who already have a strong foundation in art and have received prior training, 8+yrs)
- Johnsonville Community Centre (Room 5), 3:30-5:00 pm, Mondays
- Moera Community House, Lower Hutt, 3:30-5:00 pm, Tuesdays

Welcome to our child art/craft workshop! Our workshop is the perfect place for children to explore their creativity and develop their artistic skills in a fun and supportive environment.

Our workshop is held every week during school terms, and each class is about 1 hour long (1.5 hour for advanced class). We offer a variety of different themes for each week, so there's always something new and exciting to try.

Our workshops are designed for children of ages (5-13yrs) and all skill levels, so whether your child is a budding artist or just looking for a fun way to spend a weekend afternoon, we have something for everyone.

Each workshop is led by a professional art teacher who is passionate about inspiring children to express themselves through art. They'll guide your child through each project, providing plenty of encouragement and support along the way.

For Beginner and Intermediate class, all materials are provided, so you don't need to worry about bringing anything except your child's enthusiasm and creativity! At the end of each workshop, your child will have a unique and beautiful piece of art to take home and display with pride.

For Advanced class, this includes all premium materials, such as watercolours, gouache, and oil paints. Some basic materials will need to be purchased separately to allow for practice outside of class.

We take pride in our child art/craft workshop and want to ensure that your child not only has fun, but also learns and grows as an artist. To do this, we will provide progress reports to keep you informed of your child's development throughout the year.
At the end of the year, we will hold an art exhibition to showcase your child's artwork. This is a great opportunity for your child to see their progress and accomplishments, and to share their creations with friends and family.

We believe that art is an important part of a child's education and development, and our progress reports and art exhibition are just a few ways we support your child's artistic growth. Join us for a term of creativity, learning, and fun!
We understand that life can be unpredictable and there may be times when your child is unable to attend our art classes. We take pride in providing a flexible and accommodating experience for our students and their families. To better serve your needs, we offer two options for missed lessons:

Option A: Material kit with instructions

If your child misses a class, we can provide them with a material kit and instructions to create the artwork at home. This option is a great way for your child to stay on track with the lessons and continue their artistic development.

Option B: Attend another class in the same week, different location or time

If your child misses a class, they may attend another class in the same week at a different location or time. This option allows your child to catch up on the missed lesson and stay engaged with the program.

We hope that these options will provide more flexibility for our students and their families.
If for any reason you are unsatisfied with our art classes, please let us know so we can work to resolve the issue. If you decide to withdraw your child from our program, we offer a refund policy as follows:

If you withdraw your child at least two weeks prior to the start date of the class, you will receive a full refund minus a $10 administrative fee.

If you withdraw your child after the first class, but before the second class, you will receive a 80% refund of the term fee.

If you withdraw your child after the second class, we are unable to provide a refund.

We want to ensure that your child has a positive and enriching experience in our art classes, and we are committed to working with you to resolve any issues that may arise.

By partaking in the event, you provide Wonderhouse the unrestricted right to utilise your image in any event-related photographs, without compensation or prior notification, for marketing purposes across various promotional materials and publications.
